In the small village of Bushmills, settled on the banks of the river you'll find the oldest working distillery in Ireland. A place where family and friends have worked for generations, in a small Northern Irish village that, for over 400 years, has kept to the philosophy that hand crafting small batches is the way to produce beautifully smooth tasting Irish whiskey.
Bushmills is the gateway to the Giant's Causeway and home to the Old Bushmills Whiskey Distillery. The village has been designated as a conservation area and has around 90 listed buildings. One unique trait of the village is the local tongue, which carries a mixture of Scots, English, French and Gaelic. The tongue is known as Ulster Scots or in America, Scots Irish.
At the conclusion of your tour you will be offered a whiskey or a soft drink in the distillery's 1608 Bar. There is also a restaurant serving lunches and Bushmills inspired treats throughout the day. The Distillery Tour Centre is open 7 days a week.
